Meet Jesse Battles

A native of Etowah County, Jesse Battles comes from a family that has called Northeast Alabama home for seven generations. He earned degrees from Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University while working his way through school.

At Jacksonville State, Battles rebuilt the College Republicans into one of Alabama’s most active chapters. After graduating with honors, he worked for Alabama’s Secretary of State, helping enforce voter ID laws and streamline operations to save taxpayers millions.

Driven by a commitment to family and community, he returned home to Attalla with his wife, Melissa, where he runs a small business and a family farm. The couple welcomed their daughter Lenny in January.

His dedication to service continues today. Battles has served as President of the Gadsden Rotary Club, is an active member of the Etowah County Republican Party, a member of the Gadsden-Etowah Chamber of Commerce, and contributes his leadership on multiple local boards, including the Gadsden-Etowah Industrial Development Authority.

Jesse Battles is a husband, a father, and a fighter, a proven conservative and dedicated community leader who will always put Northeast Alabama first. He will fight every day to make Northeast Alabama the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

JESSE BATTLES' AGENDA

I am committed to working in close partnership with our local elected officials to advance the shared interests of our communities while investing meaningfully in their future. Through steady collaboration, mutual respect, and a focus on practical solutions, we can strengthen local infrastructure, support small businesses, improve quality of life, and expand opportunities for those we serve. Good governance begins at the local level, and by listening carefully and acting deliberately, we can ensure that decisions and investments reflect the needs and aspirations of our communities.
